VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Oswego Location - Kendall County Community Food Pantry

Oswego, Ill. (August 15, 2022) — The Oswego Satellite location of the Kendall County Community Food Pantry (KCCFP), located at 61 Franklin Street, Oswego, is typically open on the first Friday of each month from 5:30-7:00pm, with some exceptions. The first food pantry will be held on Friday, September 2nd.
At this time, volunteers are being sought to assist either on a regular basis or when available during the months that the pantry is open. The following volunteer positions are currently available:

Set Up (20): Unpacking/breaking down boxes, sorting the food, and then packing it in bags. Some heavy lifting is required.

Registrars (4): Greet each food pantry client and register them into the system or check repeat clients. Bilingual preferred but not mandatory.

Runners (20): The food pantry will initially be run as a drive-up pantry due to COVID-19. Runners will be in charge of loading carts, taking them to vehicles, and loading cars.

Traffic Control (8): Volunteers control the flow of traffic in and out of the pantry.

SD 308 employees, community members, and students in grades 9 - 12 are eligible to volunteer. Students will receive community service hours for their time.To sign up to volunteer, please click here or scan the QR code.
