Dr. Sparlin was busy during his visit to Churchill Elementary this week on December 12.

He started the day practicing basketball dribbles, then made a scientific hypothesis about a gingerbread disintegrating in liquid, followed by a vocab word game, and lastly reading a story to a class. He visited with several staff members as he made his way around the school, including a teacher that he had previously coached in volleyball.

The school was having a crazy hat day, so lots of fun and festive headpieces to see. In a final stop back at the class completing the gingerbread cookie experiment, the kids were very excited to notify Dr. Sparlin that his earlier guess was wrong, and theirs was right!
