Dear District 308 Community,

In response to Dr. Sparlin’s announcement to retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the Board of Education is beginning the process of selecting a new superintendent. The first step is to identify and evaluate search firms who might assist us in this process.

Students, staff, parents and our extended community will have opportunities to provide input and be involved in the search for our next Superintendent.  At the January 23rd board meeting we will share details of the avenues of communication available specifically for feedback and input on this very important matter. 

We will continue to provide you with updates as this process evolves.

Estimada comunidad del Distrito 308,

En respuesta al anuncio del Dr. Sparlin de jubilarse al final del año escolar 2022-2023, la Junta de Educación está comenzando el proceso de selección de un nuevo superintendente. El primer paso es identificar y evaluar empresas de búsqueda que puedan ayudarnos en este proceso.

Los estudiantes, el personal, los padres y nuestra comunidad extendida tendrán la oportunidad de brindar su opinión y participar en la búsqueda de nuestro próximo Superintendente. En nuestra próxima reunión de la junta educativa 23 de enero, compartiremos detalles de los portales de comunicación disponibles específicamente para comentarios y aportes sobre este tema.

Continuaremos brindándole actualizaciones a medida que evolucione este proceso.
