This session will review the latest regulations in Illinois that govern the use of time out and physical restraint and problem areas that have been identified in schools that need to be remedied.  

Bev Johns is the current President of the LDA Illinois.

She is an educator who has worked in public schools for well over 33 years with students with learning disabilities and emotional/behavioral disorders.  She is a former Administrator at the Garrison Alternative School for Students with Significant Behavioral Challenges. A former Professional Fellow at MacMurray College and she is the author of 23 books in the field of special education.
