Classroom Expectations
Behavior Plan:
I expect each child to:
1. Follow Directions quickly.
2. Raise your hand for permission to speak.
3. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
4. Make smart choices.
5. Keep your dear teacher happy.
I greatly believe in positive reinforcement. Students achieve when they are encouraged and praised. Positive rewards will be given when the students are following our classroom expectations. Students have a smile chart. When they follow expectations, they get to pick a prize. If a poor choice is made, your child wiil receive an X with an explanation on their smile chart.
To keep track of classroom behavior as a whole, we will use the marble system. As soon as students fill up a jar of marbles, they will earn rewards, such as pajama day, an extra recess, a movie, etc. This is a whole class effort. When the class is behaving well, marbles will be added to the jar. When the class is misbehaving, marbles will be removed. It helps to make students more accountable for their actions.
