Today’s SST Focus: AVID Organization - Fill in planners for the week

Good morning, MAVS! Today, Student Council would like to share the following information about autism - Research suggests that young adults diagnosed with autism have “limited opportunity for community or social activities—nearly 40% spend little or no time with friends” (“Autism Spectrum Disorder”). MAVS, let’s be sure to include our peers with autism. NO ONE should stand alone!

Excellent job to the track team at Thursday's meet against Plank held at OEHS last week! Highlights include 7th grade boys' records broken in the shot put by Jack Monn with a distance of 26 feet 1 inch, in the 100 meter dash by Isaiah Wolter with a time of 11.87 seconds, and in discus with a throw of 83 feet 11 inches.

Congratulations to the Murphy Boys Volleyball team in their victory against Plank. A team was able to win both sets in a close match. The B team also was able to win both sets. Good luck on their match against Traughber at home on Tuesday.

Autism awareness bracelets are still available for $1 in the Student Services Office! Get yours today!

THE MURPHY Book Fair begins next week, May 1st - May 5th.
