MAVS, Student Council is thrilled to see so many of you wearing blue today in support of Autism Awareness Month! Please remember - awareness should not only last for a designated time period or month. Continue to show your support for individuals with autism day-in-and-day-out. Go Mavericks!
The Maverick Market is open for the following homerooms: (Borneman, Calvillo, Cryder, Dudley, Gabhart, Kerr, Parlier, Pugh, Tomasetti and Vihnanek) If you have bullseyes to spend at the school store, you may walk to the LRC, after the pledge. (8:15am)
The girls soccer team traveled to Plank last night and played a great game. They walked away with a tie with the Pirates but fought hard the whole time. Great job girls
Today is the last day of the book drive, so make sure to donate any books or money while you still can to help your class win the prize! This is a great opportunity for students and staff around the building to make space for new books while helping others. The boxes provided to your ELA classrooms will be the drop off spot for books. Don't have books to donate? Your ELA teacher has an envelope for monetary donations so that you can participate even if you don't have a book. This is a competition; therefore, the winning ELA teacher's classes receive the prize of candy. There will also be a box and envelope provided in the front office so that staff who aren’t ELA teachers but still want to donate can. The flyers with more information about the requirements of the books that can be donated will be distributed by your ELA teacher. Help end the book famine in Africa! Donate today!
