Today’s SST Focus: SuccessMaker (Prodigy for Algebra 1 students)

Good morning, MAVS! Good morning, MAVS! Today, Student Council would like to share the following information about autism - “There is no federal requirement for providing supportive services to people with autism in adulthood. This leaves many families navigating these types of services on their own” (“30 Facts to Know”). Student Council members will be selling Autism Awareness bracelets during all lunch periods. Students and staff can purchase a bracelet for ONLY $1 during lunch periods.

The Maverick Market is open today for the following Homerooms: Phillips, Sanborn, Shields, Vugteveen, Watkins, Williams, and Winter. If you have bullseyes to spend at the school store, you may walk to the LRC, after the pledge. (8:15am)

Hey Mavs! NJHS is running a book drive until April 21st to donate to people who need books in Africa. This is a great opportunity for students and staff around the building to make space for new books while helping others. The boxes provided to your ELA classrooms will be the drop off spot for books. Don't have books to donate? Your ELA teacher will have an envelope for monetary donations so that you can participate even if you don't have a book. This is a competition; therefore, the winning ELA teacher's classes receive the prize of candy. There will also be a box and envelope provided in the front office so that staff who aren’t ELA teachers but still want to donate can. The flyers with more information about the requirements of the books that can be donated will be distributed by your ELA teacher. Help end the book famine in Africa!
