SST Focus: SuccessMaker (Prodigy for Algebra 1 students)

Good morning, MAVS! Each day, the Student Council will share a fact or two about autism during the morning announcements. Today, we would like to begin by defining what autism is. “Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech, and nonverbal communication. According to the Centers for Disease Control, autism affects an estimated 1 in 36 children in the United States today … and affects 1 in 100 children worldwide” (“What is Autism?). 

Mav’s: Student Council members will be selling Autism Awareness bracelets during all lunch periods starting today. Students and staff can purchase a bracelet for ONLY $1.
