Students: -Today’s SST focus is Second Step. Your classes will be working through SEL lessons provided by your teachers.
Mav’s: Next week we start IAR testing. You will not be allowed to wear wireless headphones. Please bring wired earbuds/headphones. Make sure you have a book to read. Get a good night's sleep & have a healthy breakfast.
Are you interested in seeing what the SAT will be like? Murphy is partnering with Huntington Learning Center to host a practice SAT on Saturday, March 18th from 7:30am - approximately 12:15 pm. Cost is $5 on the day of the test. Sign up is limited to 100 students. This test is open to all grade levels but is most appropriate for 8th graders and honors-level 7th graders. The sign up form is in the 7th and 8th grade Student Services google classrooms, and it will be linked in the Bulletin this week. Please email Mrs. Zawacki if you have any questions.
The 7th grade girls played great basketball against Plank Tuesday night. In the first game, the girls played tenacious defense leading to several baskets as they won by a final score of 16-14. McKayla Robinson led the girls with 6 points. Aubrey Pleva and Ashlynn Roberts each scored 4 and Halima Smith added a basket. The girls played hard in the second game but a last second basket did them in. The girls play against Traughber Thursday night
EXCITING NEWS!! Congratulations to 8th grader Akshay Manikandan, who won the Grundy-Kendall County Regional Spelling Bee last week! He will head to Washington D.C. to represent our county in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May. We are so proud of you, Aksha! Good luck at Nationals!
