Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Friday, February 10th, 2023 

Students: Today’s SST focus is on reading The BULLetin and Independent Reading.  All students should take a look at The BULLetin that is sent out at 6:00 pm on Thursday evenings or reading independently.  If there is a need for an SEL lesson extension, your teacher will let you know.

MAVS! Student Council members will be selling Valentine’s Day Grams during all lunch periods. This is a great opportunity to treat your friends or that special someone! Each gram will cost $1 and will be handed directly to you at the time of purchase. Grams can be purchased through Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, 2/14. Happy Valentine’s Day, Mavericks!

The Maverick Market is open today for the following Homerooms: Brooks, Burfield, Erickson, Karvelius, Waldron, Mr. Zaininger, Alcala, Meeder, Youngwith and Straub. If you have bullseyes to spend at the school store, you may walk to the LRC, after the pledge.

Mav’s: Last night the 8th grade girls basketball team took on Plank. We jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter and maintained that lead the whole game. Even with girls in foul trouble and busted fingers we came out on top winning by 20. Leading scorers were Emersen with 20 and Avaya with 14.

The second game was just like the first game. We jumped out to an early lead and held onto it with a great defense and only giving up a couple baskets. Leading scorers were Harper and Allissa with 6 and Kailynn with 4. Awesome win ladies!
