Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Tuesday, January 31st, 2023
Students:Today’s SST focus is SuccessMaker. You should be working on SuccessMaker on your Chromebook for the entire SST time. Remember, this is an expectation of all students within our school and the district. Attention All Algebra Students: Since today is a SuccessMaker day, all Algebra students should be working on prodigy!
Hey Mav’s: The Murphy Muralists are taking on the challenge of the walls of MJHS. Students will be collaborating to create, design, and paint murals around the school. Our first meeting is Monday, February 6th. All students interested must have a signed permission slip and pay the fees prior to attending. Permission slips are available in student services. See Ms. Cryder with any questions.
Boy's Intramural volleyball will start on February 7th. This is open to any boys in 6th- 8th grade. No experience is necessary. Forms for sign up are available in student services. There is a limit on the number of participants, so please sign up as soon as you can. If you have any questions you can email Mrs. Steele.
The Maverick Market is open for the following homerooms: (Clausen, Gardner, Keicher, Kiefert, Lester, Malnati and Cari Miller) If you have bullseyes to spend at the school store, you may walk to the LRC, after the pledge.

Nominated by Ms. Karvelius: Jasmine Wilkes! Jasmine is passionate and hard working. She's a great musician who has shown a lot of potential on her instrument. She's always someone willing to help others and she's a pleasure to be around.
And: Kushan Bonela! Kushan is an outstanding musician who always goes the extra mile to try to achieve great things. I really appreciate the amount of work that he has put in to be a leader and look for extra challenges.
Nominated by Mr. Keifert: Idress Jan! Idress is excellent at completing any task. Idress is very helpful and is always on task.
Nominated by Mrs. Lake: Aubrey Pleva! Aubrey has been such a wonderful office runner this school year. She is always eager to help, has a smile on her face and is very reliable. She is a true Model Maverick.
Nominated by Ms. Lester: Mariah Vaughan! Mariah always volunteers during class discussions and displays an above-average enthusiasm for the language; Mariah always wants to learn more than just what is learned in class and finds creative ways to apply that new information.

Makenzie Lee! Makenzie consistently performs above-average on all classroom assessments. She is very respectful, responsible, and always on-task.
Nominated by Mr. Malnati: Kian Watkins! Kian is a great student. He's friendly and upbeat everyday. He works hard and always brings his love of history.
And finally, nominated by Mrs. Liskunas: Jace Carlisle! Jace is always so willing to help when asked. He is respectful of others and hard working. He comes to school every day with a smile on his face and is a joy to have working in the office. Jace is a true Model Maverick!
