Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Thursday, January 12th, 2023
Students:Today’s SST focus is Second Step. Your classes will be working through SEL lessons provided by your teachers.
Any 8th grader going to Washington DC over Spring Break needs to turn in their Roommate Selection Form, Behavior Contract, and Medical Form to Mrs. Campasano by Wednesday, January 18th.
Mav's: Course selection is open in Tyler! Remember, you must select enough electives to fill two class periods each semester. If you have questions, please refer back to the Course Selection presentation in your Student Services google classroom. If you cannot find an answer there, please email your counselor. This must be done by Friday, January 20th when the window closes.
Mav’s: Second semester strength and conditioning intramural will begin on January 23rd. Permission slips are available in the student services office.
Hey Mav’s: The Murphy PTO would like to invite you to WINTERFEST 2023 on Friday, January 20th from 6-8pm! Enjoy a winter wonderland with a DJ, photo ops, concession items and Dippin' Dots too. Tickets will be available during your lunch periods this week and next week for $10! The families that made a donation to the PTO will receive a free ticket. Your school ID will be required for admittance. Don’t miss out and get your tickets ASAP!

Vanessa Godinez nominated by Ms. Fabere- Vanessa is hardworking and eager to learn! She is always prepared for class and asks great questions! Vanessa is a Model Maverick!
Also nominated by Ms. Fabere- Melissa Urena Romero - Melissa is a Model Maverick because she comes to class with a positive attitude everyday and always does her best!
MaKenna Witkowski was nominated by Mr. Falli- McKenna is a hard working, kind and positive student who is always willing to help. In the office she helps out as one of our office runners. She has been a new student helper this year and is currently helping a new student become comfortable attending Murphy. She is always smiling and is a great role model here at Murphy.
Nominations from Ms. Fell include: Annalise Schmitt- Annalise is a hardworking student who is also a dedicated friend. She is very polite and puts forth her best effort everyday. She never hesitates to help out a classmate in need. She is a true Model Maverick!
Carter McManis- Carter is kind, helpful, respectful, and has a contagious positive attitude. His energy motivates those around him making him a true leader in the class. Congratulations on being a Model Maverick!
Nominations from Ms. Gabehart include: Karson Williams- Karson is hardworking, positive, dedicated, helpful and gives 100% everyday. He is a great role model here at Murphy!
Anne Cashman: Anne is kind, hardworking, respectful and helpful to her classmates. She has done a fabulous job this year serving as a Model Maverick!
Nominated by Ms. Gardner: Carmyne Manna is a Model Maverick because he comes everyday with a positive attitude, is respectful and kind, and is always willing to help his peers and his teachers!
Nominated by Mr. Gerl: Carly Viera: Carly is a great student who completes very detailed work. She is a leader in her group and works very hard to make sure the group's work is completed as accurately as possible.
And finally nominations from Mrs. Hauert include: Greyson Lowe: Greyson is a great student with a great attitude! He works hard in class, asks great questions, and loves to help people. Keep up the great work Greyson!
Shia Love: Shia is new to Murphy this year, but is a real Model Maverick! Shia is always prepared for class and works hard. She is extremely thoughtful and creative with her work. Shia is someone who is helpful and dependable- we are so glad you are here!
