Students: Today’s SST focus is SuccessMaker.  You should be working on SuccessMaker on your Chromebook for the entire SST time.  Remember, this is an expectation of all students within our school and the district.  Attention All Algebra Students: Since today is a SuccessMaker day, all Algebra students should be working on prodigy!

Attention all 8th graders: Are you going to OEHS next year? Join the Future Wolves Night this Thursday, November 17, beginning at 5:00 pm. Are you going to OHS next year? Join the Future Panther Night on Thursday, November 17 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Enter through doors 35 and 37.

Hey Mav’s: Do you love PIZZA? Well then, Raise a slice for a good cause! Plan your dinner ahead of time! This Thursday, November 17th from 4:00-9:00 pm, when you mention the fundraiser, Lou Malnati's will give back 20% of total sales to support student events at Murphy Junior High. It's that time of year again! Beginning today and running through December 9th, Murphy Junior High School in conjunction with the Oswego Fire Protection District will be participating in the Annual Toys for Tots Program.

Murphy will be collecting toys to donate to families in the community who are currently having financial difficulties. 

Gifts should be NEW, unwrapped and can be for children of all ages. Students should bring all the toys to their homeroom teacher in exchange for a raffle ticket.  (continued on the other side) 

A raffle will take place on December 9th, where 12  lucky winners will have the chance to serve as Murphy’s "elves for the day". These elves will get to help the fire department load up the toys as well attend our annual toys for tots pizza party WITH a friend of choice. 

These students will also have their picture taken with the local fire department, which will then be submitted to the local newspaper. This special event will take place on Monday, December 12th for the loading of toys, following a toys for tots pizza party that will take place during the last week of school.  

In addition to that, Murphy also  will be hosting a doughnut party for the winning homeroom that donates that most toys! 

Here's how to win!!! 

First and foremost  you need to donate NEW toys! Students will need to listen carefully to each week's dedicated "toy theme"! 

If a student donates a themed toy, they will receive DOUBLE raffles tickets for each toy brought in during the designated week. 

All NEW purchased toys are welcome however THEMED toys will count as DOUBLE raffle tickets! This week's and next week's toy theme is dedicated to bringing in WHEEL themed toys- this includes bikes, wagons, scooters, remote control cars, anything that has wheels counts! 

Be sure to pick up your toy today and you'll be one step closer to attending this year's Toys for Tot pizza party!! 

The more you donate the better chance you have to participate in this special event!! 

The Murphy Math team had their first competition on Saturday at Marmion Academy.  Congratulations to team one, Kushan Bonela, Lohith Kunapareddy, Aria Adueni, Shrihitha Ketha, and Henry Nyambat for their first place team win!

The Maverick Market is open for the following homerooms: (Borneman, Calvillo, Cryder, Dudley, Gabhart, Kerr, Parlier, Pugh, Tomasetti and Vihnanek) If you have bullseyes to spend at the school store, you may walk to the LRC, after the pledge.
