Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022

Hey, Mavs! Student Council is happy to see so many of you showing your school spirit this week. Keep it up by dressing in your favorite animal print on Thursday. 

Attention 7th and 8th grade boys: Boys volleyball season is coming soon.  Tryout packets are available in student services.  No experience is necessary.  You must have a current sports physical, register for boys’ volleyball on 8to18 and turn in the contract TODAY qualify for tryouts. Tryouts will be right after spring break.  If you have any questions, please email or ask Ms. Steele.

Any 7th grade or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for the Murphy girls’ soccer team: You need to make sure you are registered in 8to18 and make sure you have a current physical on file with the school by TODAY!

Attention all 7th and 8th grade track athletes:  Registration needs to be completed on 18-18 and current physicals need to be turned in to the nurse prior to beginning practice on April 4th.  Please make sure you get both done so you can participate on the first day of practice

Hey Mav’s: Student Ambassador's will be selling bracelets, for $1, during lunch periods (starting today) for “Say Something” week. Get them while they are still in stock!

 

The Maverick Market is open today for the following Homerooms: Orr, Sttele, Avignone, Borneman, Gabehart, Pugh, Vihnanek, Waldron, and W. Zaininger. If you have bullseyes to spend at the school store, you may walk to room E213, 

after the pledge.

Congratulations to the following students who were nominated by Murphy Staff as the March Model Mavericks.  If you hear your name, please come down to Student Services at the end of announcements to receive your certificate.  

Mason Trayser was nominated by Ms. Phillips. Mason is the ideal Model Maverick. He goes above and beyond in all ways possible. Mason makes good decisions in all settings here at Murphy. He always lends a helping hand to others. His passion for learning and bettering himself is remarkable. Way to go, Mason! Keep it up!

Claire Guarni was nominated by Ms. Phillips. Claire is a true Model Maverick. She strives for excellence in all areas. Her kindness and generosity, both in the classroom and not, are admirable. Way to go, Claire!

Jayden Griggs was nominated by Mrs. Pugh. Jayden is an exemplary Model Maverick! He is a hard worker with a great attitude. Not only is he kind and collaborative in the classroom he always says hello in the hallways! Keep up the great work Jayden!

Rachel Kangas was nominated by Mrs. Pugh.  Rachel comes to class ready to learn! She works well with anyone in her group and is always willing to participate. She has a positive attitude and displays all the values of a Model Maverick!

Blake Hobbs was nominated by Ms. Hauert. Blake always comes to class prepared and ready to learn. Blake is always smiling, helpful, and positive in class. I'm proud to know you, Blake!

Charles Anderson was nominated by Ms. Hauert. Charles is a hard worker and team player. He always has a positive attitude in class and encourages people around him. We are thankful for you, Chuck!

Abby Messerges was nominated by Ms. Rerych. Abby genuinely and consistently demonstrates all of the pillars of character, while infusing her charisma into the Maverick community! Abby's maturity paired with passion for learning leads her to success each day!

Henry Nyambat was nominated by Ms. Rerych. Henry is a measured leader, who also genuinely demonstrates the pillars of character into his studies as well as passion for piano! Henry inspires the Maverick community with his inquiry and problem solving skills, which rewards him with undeniable success each and every day.

Maya Langel was nominated by Mrs. Sanborn. Maya comes to class prepared and with a hardworking and positive attitude. She is kind to everyone in class.

Komron Majidov was nominated by Mrs. Sanborn. Komron comes to class prepared. He is a hard working student and gets along well with his peers.

Isaac Goldston was nominated by Ms. Sontag. Isaac is always kind and helpful to his peers and to staff. He is responsible and puts forth his best effort on a daily basis.

Ava Dittman was nominated by Ms. Sefah. Ava is always ecstatic. Her smiles always makes everyone in the room smile. She’s very determined. She always advocates for herself by using her talker to communicate with everyone and also uses it to express herself freely.
