Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Tuesday, October 26th, 2021

Hey Mavs! Did you know that each night in the United States, an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets? This October, we want to show that even a small act of love, such as donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our neighbors who are homeless. From October 18th to October 29th Murphy’s National Junior Honor Society”, you know… the ones you are getting your chocolate from... will be collecting new socks and new socks only to donate to Hesed house in Aurora. We will be making this a homeroom challenge! For each pair of socks you donate, your homeroom will receive a point. A fuzzy pair of socks is worth two points, and a normal pair is worth one point but both are welcome!! At the end of the first week the top 3 homerooms will receive a sweet treat. The leading homeroom with the most socks turned in by the end of the two weeks will receive an even sweeter treat! Let’s try and get over 1,000 new socks for Hesed House!

Meets and Eats! Mav’s Do you have fourth period lunch? Do you want a chance to flex your Harry Potter knowledge AND have some butterbeer? Join Mrs. Tysiak for the Harry Potter Trivia and Butterbeer Meet and Eat on Wednesday November 3. Ask your Student Support Teacher to sign you up if you are interested!

5th period lunch! Mr. Watkins, Mr. Falli & Mrs. Zawacki are hosting a Meet & Eat on Tuesday, November 2nd! Join them for The Great Candy Debate to decide which candy is the best! Sign up with your homeroom teacher!

6th period lunch: Are you excited for Halloween? Mrs. Miller is hosting a Halloween themed meet and eat this Friday during 6th period lunch. Sign up during homeroom!

7th Period lunch: Would you like to have Meet and Eats with Mrs. Hauert this week? Sip and 'Spill the tea' with Mrs. Hauert this Friday during 7th period lunch! Bring your fanciest or favorite cup with you so we can talk about ALL the things while enjoying a treat. Ask your homeroom teacher to sign up, 15 spots are available. Hope to see you there.

Attention any girls signed up for intramural volleyball: We will meet in Ms. Steele's room after school today- Room E121. We will meet there today and NOT by the gym.

Good morning, MAVS! This week Murphy staff members will be passing out BULLSEYES to those students who are caught ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY in the classroom. You can earn a BULLSEYE in a variety of ways. Make sure you are arriving to each of your classes on time and completing your assignments on time as well. Let's show how responsible Mavericks can be!
