Do you love Math? Do you love Competition? Then the Murphy Math team is the place for you. The Competition Series is ideal for students who have a talent and passion for math and need to be challenged. Students will engage in exciting, "bee-style" contests in which they will compete against and alongside other bright, motivated students. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday Oct. 12 in Ms. Borneman's room F123 from 3:15-4:30. See your math teacher for more information and the try out form or grab one outside Ms. Borneman's room.

Good morning, MAVS! This week Murphy staff members will be passing out BULLSEYES to those students who are caught MAKING GOOD DECISIONS in the classroom. You can earn a BULLSEYE in a variety of ways. Make sure you are staying organized, filling out your planner, and completing your assignments. Let's end the first quarter strongly!

Mavs: Wish the boys soccer team good luck as they travel to Traughber tonight to take on the Panthers!

Wow Mavs: The turnout yesterday was amazing! The competition is really heating up! Currently, Ms. Steele's class is in the lead with a whopping 56.42 items a person. Ms. Avignone is next up with 33.88 items per student followed closely by Ms. Phillips with 30.07 items per person. Keep up the amazing work Mavericks. Student Council will continue collecting donations of non-perishable food and money until Wednesday October 13th. Bring in items from your pantry, ask friends or family to donate items or donate some money to the cause. The homeroom with the most items per person will receive a pizza party. Students that donate 1 item get a Bullseye and students that donate 10 items get a jump in line pass. $1 is equal to 8 items. Show how much the Murphy community cares for others and donate today.
