Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Monday, September 27th, 2021

Mavericks: This week is Start with Hello week at Murphy Junior High! The purpose of this week is to promote inclusivity for all students within the school environment, in hopes of combating school violence. As part of this week, Student Services is sponsoring a homeroom door decorating challenge! Decorating can begin anytime this week, and doors must be complete by Friday, October 1st, which is when judging will occur. The only guideline is that your design must include any Start with Hello week's messages of promoting school inclusivity and connections within our school! The winning homeroom - students and their homeroom teacher- will receive a "sweet treat" courtesy of Student Services!

Mavericks: Want a change of scenery from the cafeteria? Or have you ever wanted to have lunch with your teacher and decorate cookies, play games, or talk about fun topics - besides academics of course - topics like Harry Potter, sports, or Shakespeare? Maverick Meet & Eats is back! Meet & Eat dates and lunch periods will be announced during morning announcements. Please sign up with your homeroom teacher - sessions are limited to 15 students! Make sure to listen for upcoming Meet & Eats during announcements!

Hey 6th period lunch students: Feeling artistic? Mrs. Miller is hosting a drawing themed meet and eat this Friday October 1st during 6th period lunch. Grab your lunch and join us as we follow along with a Youtube drawing artist. Sign up during homeroom!
