Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Friday, February 14th, 2020

Attention Mavericks!  The Annual District Math competition is on Monday March 16th.  Join other 6th, 7th and 8th graders from all 5 junior highs in both a team and individual math competition.  Let’s keep our Trophy and take down Bednarcik once again!  See your math teacher for more information and be sure to turn in your sign up form by March 9th.

Attention Maverick’s!  Do you love science and technology?  Do you want to learn to code, build things, perform experiments and other fun STEM activities?  Join us!   This spring, the STEM Club will be doing a different activity each week.  STEM Club will meet on Tuesdays beginning next Tuesday, February 18th in room F228 from 3:15-4:15 pm.   See Mrs. Ramsbottom for details or pick up a flyer in Student Services.

Mavericks: Last night the 7th grade basketball team played Bednarcik in the pink out game.  After battling for a 13 to 13 halftime lead, then Mavericks couldn't keep pace with Bulldogs in the second half.  The Bulldogs were able to pull away for a 31 to 18 victory.  Addison led the scoring with 7 points, while Ava added 4. In the second game, the Mavericks gave up their halftime lead during the 3rd quarter to set up an exciting end to the game.  Down by 1 with only a few minutes to go, Lundin sank 2 free throws to take the lead.  Then some tough defensive play allowed the Mavericks to pick up the 23 to 18 victory.  Audrey led the scoring with 6 points, Mia added 5, and Lundin and Ella ended with 4 points.
