Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Monday, August 26th, 2019

Hey 8th graders!  It's not too late to go on the unforgettable Washington DC trip over Spring Break!  There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday September 4th at 6:30 p.m. in Traughber's cafeteria.  If you have questions, you can see Ms. Miller in room D121 during homeroom. 

Hey Mavs! Interested in being part of the fall play or spring musical here at Murphy?  Mrs. Tysiak and Mrs. Clausen are hosting an announcement party after school on Friday September 6.  During this party we will announce the play and musical, give more information about auditions and performances, and will play games and have snacks!  The party will go from 3:10 to 4:30 in the choir room.  If you are interested in attending be sure to sign up on the sign-up sheet outside of the choir room.  Any questions talk to Mrs. Tysiak or Mrs. Clausen.

Mavericks: Are you interested in playing Intramural Basketball before school or Intramural Flag Football after school?  If so, come pick up a sign up form in Student Services.

 Student Ambassadors: Reminder to come to the Multi-Purpose Room today, after the pledge, for our first meeting of the year! We look forward to seeing you!

Attention Students: Schedule changes must be completed by this Wednesday, August 28th.  Counselors will only make changes due to schedule errors, such as missing periods, double classes, wrong level, electives taken previously, etc. or changing 7th or 8th grade electives (only when possible). Counselors will not make changes for specific class periods or specific teachers. Students: please see Mr. Falli or Mrs. Zawacki in Student Services or send them an email to request your change. Please note, changes are not always possible.

Mavericks: Miss Phillips is looking for volunteers to assist in this year's Green Team. Green Team will meet after school on Fridays from 3:10 to 3:40 pm. We will begin this week. If you are interested in joining and helping keep Murphy green, please see Miss Phillips in D209 for a sign-up sheet.

Hey 8th Graders! How would you like to spend Spring Break down in Key Largo and the everglades?! Can you see yourself swimming with dolphins, snorkeling in 2 coral reefs, kayaking through the mangroves, and going deep into the everglades? There is still time to sign up! There is a Parent meeting on September 3rd at 6:30PM in the Traughber Multipurpose Room.  See you there!

Hey Mav’s: If you are interested in joining Student Council, there will be an informational meeting in Miss Phillips's classroom, D209, tomorrow morning at 7:45 am. Please plan to attend. See you then!

Attention Murphy runners:  Today is our first day of practice! All runners should change after school and meet in the cafeteria by 3:15. Bring all of your belongings with you, do not leave anything in your locker."
