Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Tuesday, April 23rd, 2019

 

Hey Mav’s: The PTO has rented the ENTIRE AURORA SKATE RINK just for the MJHS students! This event is FREE, including skate rental and will take place tomorrow night from 6-8pm. All you have to do is show up ready to skate and bring your school ID. Hope to see you there!

 

 Hey 7th Graders: Listen Up! If you would like to swim with dolphins, kayak through the Mangroves, Snorkel in two Coral Reefs, and visit the Everglades next year during Spring Break, you need to come to the Splash Into Science Parent Presentation! You will learn about all the activities in detail and how you can get registered for this Adventure of a Lifetime. The meeting will take place at Traughber Junior High in the Multipurpose Room at 7:00PM tonight! Let’s start planning to head down to Key Largo and the Everglades during Spring Break next year! See you at the meeting! Please contact Mr. Paradise in F228 with any questions.

 

Hey Mav’s: Come out and support the girls’ soccer team as they take on Traughber.

 

Murphy is excited to host the upcoming Spring  Scholastic Book Fair. An amazing selection of books is headed this way! The fair will take place in Murphy’s LRC next week, Monday, April 29 through Friday, May 3rd from 8:15 -3:10.If you can’t make the book fair, you can also help support our school by shopping online. All orders ship free to Murphy. The online fair is available this Wednesday, April 24th through Wednesday, May 8th.  See your ELA teacher or Mrs. Campasano for details.


Hey Mav’s: Volunteer hour forms are due to Mr. Falli by this Friday, April 26th for ALL STUDENTS. We have listed more volunteer opportunities to begin collecting service hours toward next school year.  Students with the correct amount of service hours will be recognized at Promotion Night! 

 

JAM Staff: We will have a short meeting during homeroom on Wednesday, April 24th. Please go to Miss Rerych's (Rare-icks) room F217. Can't wait to see you then!

 

ATTENTION MAVERICKS: Are you a confident junior high student? Do you know what it means to be a Maverick? If so, you would be a great fit for the 2019 Survival Skills classes! Miss Phillips and Ms. Fell are looking for volunteers to assist in this summer's courses. If you are interested, please obtain a sign-up form outside of Miss Phillips's classroom, D209. All forms are due to Miss Phillips by Friday, 5/3.

 

Hey Mav’s: Another great victory for the girls’ soccer team on Thursday night.  Even with the cold, they pulled out at 6-1 win over Plank. Great job girls.
