Today is the day we've all been waiting for!  Let's all sing Happy Birthday to RBG loud enough to here in Washington DC. Ah 1 and ah 2...Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Justice Ginsberg, happy birthday to you!

Attention any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in playing soccer for Murphy:  Tryouts will be on Tuesday, March 19th. (Dress accordingly) There will only be one day of tryouts.  By this date at 2 pm, a current physical should be on file with the school nurse.  Also, each girl should be registered on the 8to18 website.

Attention students wanting to try out for poms or cheer!  All paperwork and physicals are due today.  Clinics will start Monday in the cafeteria.  See you then!  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Fell or Ms. Cryder. 

Have you seen the posters around the school about Murphy's Got Talent? Well...get ready! Sign-ups for auditions start next week in the music department. We're looking for amazing acts to perform in the 4th quarter assembly! Singers, dancers, instrumentalists, unique talents, we want it all! Start thinking about what you want to audition on! Sign-ups start next week on Monday, March 18 and close after spring break on April 5.

Here are the March dates4th period lunch - Sorry, no sessions yet! 5th period lunch - Harry Potter on Monday, March 18th with Ms. Karvelius and Ms. Zawacki. 5th period lunch - Sun Catchers on Tuesday, March 19th with Ms. Fabere and Ms. Waldron. 6th period lunch - Card games with Mr. Gerl and Ms. Rerych on Friday March 15th. 6th period lunch - Vision Boards/I Am Collages & Cookies on Tuesday, March 19th with Ms. Noll, Ms. Weihler, Ms. Zawacki, and Mr. Falli . 7th period lunch - Vision Boards/I Am Collages & Cookies on Tuesday, March 19th with Ms. Noll, Ms. Weihler, Ms. Zawacki, and Mr. Falli. Talk to your homeroom teacher to see if spots are still available!

Attention all 8th graders attending the DC trip: Students that are in Ms. Miller's group, Ms. Buckley's group, Ms. Cryder's group, Mrs. Carlson's and Mrs. Campasano’s group need to meet in the MPR after the pledge  this morning for a brief meeting.

Next week we will be kicking off the March Madness week here at Murphy. Each homeroom will be decorating their door to represent two teams from this years NCAA tournament. Your homeroom teacher will share the details of the contest and you will be assigned your teams on Monday morning. We will have the brackets posted throughout the school as we track the progress of the tournament. We will also be having a spirit week next week. Monday will be College day so feel free to represent any college that you would like!

Hey Mav’s: Bring your hard earned Bulleyes to spend in the Maverick Mini Mall in the LRC after the pledge.

Today is Locker Clean out! 1st floor F- pod after the announcements, students should use the large trash cans in the pod for any trash and take a few minutes to organize their lockers.

Mav’s: We are down to our final 2 Fridays for Root Beer Float Friday!  If you have collected 20 bullseyes, please bring them to the mini mall today or Tuesday and Friday next week so you can enjoy your treat during lunch!
