Daily Announcements - 3/4/19
Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Monday, March 4th, 2019
Attention Maverick’s! Do you want to learn to code, build things, perform experiments and other fun STEM activities? Join us for Murphy’s STEM Club! This spring, the STEM Club will be doing a different activity each week. STEM Club will meet on Tuesdays beginning Tuesday, March 5th in room F228 from 3:15-4:15 pm. See Mrs. Ramsbottom for details or pick up a flyer in Student Services.
Have you lost something? We have many items looking for their owner! There are many water bottles, lunch bags, clothing and many random school supply items. Please take time to come check out the lost and found outside of the student services office to see if your lost item has been found. ALL unclaimed items will be donated after school next Friday.
Attention Mavericks: Murphy Junior High School in conjunction with The Rotary Club announces the annual “Coats for Kendall” winter clothing drive. Please bring in any gently used coats, scarves, hats, gloves or mittens. All collected items will be donated to local charities to ensure those in need in our local community have warm winter gear as the weather turns colder. A collection box is located in the main office. Mavericks please show you care by donating to those in need.
Attention JAM staff! We will have a brief meeting this Wednesday March 6th during homeroom in Miss Rerych's, room F217. See you then!
Attention 7th and 8th graders, this year Murphy will be participating in the annual Aurora Sports Festival on Friday, May 10th. This is a great opportunity to compete with surrounding schools in various sports and events such as: bags, basketball, bowling, checkers, chess, golf, in-line skating, tennis, soccer, softball, tug-o-war, and volleyball. If you are interested in being excused from school for the day and joining the fun, please see Mr. Shields or Mr. Brown during your PE or Health class to pick-up a registration/waiver sheet to sign up. Keep in mind that not all who sign-up will be able to come. Grades, behavior, and attendance will be the major deciding factors on who gets to join.
Hey, Mavs! Can you smell the roses? Spring is in the air! Let’s welcome the season with our favorite floral patterns tomorrow!
Attention 6th and 7th graders interested in trying out for cheer or poms! There will be an informational meeting Wednesday, March 6th in the multi-purpose room during homeroom. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Fell or Ms. Cryder.
Make it a great day Mavericks!
