The 7th grade lady Mavericks picked up another two wins against Thompson. After playing a sloppy first half, the Mavericks found themselves down 13 to 17 at halftime. In the second half, the Mavericks came out fired up and shut down Thompson's offense. Offensively, the Mavericks worked for some good shots to pull away for the 33 to 18 victory. Riley led the scoring with 11 points, while Anya added 10. In the second game, the Mavericks pulled out to 13 to 0 halftime lead. Thompson was able to put some points on the board during the 3rd quarter, but the Mavericks held on for the 20 to 8 victory. Alexandra led the scoring with 10 points, while Zakayia added 4 and Madison was good for 3.
Make it a great day Mavericks!
