Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Friday, February 1st, 2019

Mavs!  Thank you for participating in The Great Kindness Challenge this year.  Schools around the world devoted this week to performing as many acts of kindness as possible! Remember to hand in your completed Kindness Challenge checklist you received in advisory by Monday, February 4th to be a part of a drawing for a special prize. Essays are also due by Monday, February 4th.   After you complete an act of kindness, write a short essay, hand it into Student Services, and become eligible for yet another possible prize!  Essay sheets are available in the office. You can also submit a picture of your act of kindness to the “Maverick Way Outside of School”!Today’s school-wide challenge is to SMILE and say “good morning” to at least 10 people.  Our kindness quote for today is, “Seek to do good, and you will find that happiness will run after you.”

Mavericks: The Maverick Sewing Club will start Tuesday, February 5th. Permission slips are due Monday, February 4th. Please see Ms. Calvillo in E103 for more information.

Hey Mav’s: Looking for some service hours? The Homestead Fun Fair will be March 9th from 11am to 3pm and they are looking for volunteers to help. You need to sign up by March 1st. Check out this week’s Bulletin for the link to sign up!

Today is Locker Clean out! 2nd Floor D- pod after the announcements, students should use the large trash cans in the pod for any trash and take a few minutes to organize their lockers.
