Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Wednesday, December 5th, 2018

How loud can you cheer? How much noise can you make?  Come on out Friday night and prove it! Get ready for an exciting evening of great basketball, raffle prizes, food and fun!  Join your Maverick friends and family in cheering on our boys’ basketball teams against our 127th street rivals - the Heritage Grove Huskies.  On Friday, December 7th $3 admission for everyone at the door.  The 7th grade game starts at 5:30 and the 8th grade game is at 7:00.  There will be raffle prizes awarded throughout the evening and a split the pot raffle awarded at halftime.  All proceeds go to our Shop with a Cop charity.  Come to Murphy on December 7th to cheer on our teams as we fight to keep the trophy at Murphy for another year!

Attention Mavericks: Murphy Junior High School in conjunction with The Rotary Club announces the annual “Coats for Kendall” winter clothing drive. Please bring in any gently used coats, scarves, hats, gloves or mittens.  All collected items will be donated to local charities to ensure those in need in our local community have warm winter gear as the weather turns colder. A collection box is located in the main office. Mavericks please show you care by donating to those in need.

Hey Mavericks!  The musical audition information has been posted!  If you are interested in auditioning for the musical or being part of the crew, stop by the music department! Auditions are Monday December 10 and Tuesday December 11. You will sign up for a 30 minute audition slot on one night.  For those interested in auditioning, take an audition packet and sign up for an audition time. The audition will have three components: singing, monologue, and dance.  There will be a dance clinic after school on Friday December 7th from 3:10 to 5PM so that you can learn the dance. If you cannot make the dance clinic, the video will be posted to Mrs. Tysiak's website. For those interested in being on crew, take and complete a crew application and have to Mrs. Tysiak or Mrs. Clausen by Monday December 17.  Please take time to read all the information in the packet before committing to audition as there is LOTS to know!  If you have any questions talk to Mrs. Tysiak or Mrs. Clausen.
