Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Monday, November 19th, 2018

Hey Mav’s:  Please bring all toys and raffle tickets down to F121 during homeroom today. By donating a NEW book or game for a child in need, you will receive double raffle tickets which means your one step closer to attending this year's breakfast at the firehouse as well as to our toys for tots pizza party! Teachers please make sure that you have printed your homeroom list so that your homeroom rep can keep track of what students are donating towards each gift theme. Keep the lists in a safe place because we will need the list at the end of the drive.

Last Thursday, the 7th grade basketball played two great games to pick up wins against Plank.  In the first game, the Mavericks jumped out ahead early to build a 20 to 6 halftime lead.  Plank rallied in the second half, but they were unable to take the lead as the Mavericks came away with the 40 to 31 victory.  Malachi led the scoring with 14 points, while Armon added 11.   In the second game, the Mavericks tough defense force several turnovers leading to some quick points.  The Mavericks continued to play tough and never gave up the lead in the 34 to 22 victory.  Jayden C. led the scoring with 11 points, Aiden added 8.

Congratulations to the Murphy Math team at the Marmion competition this weekend.  Team 1 - Rohan Cherukuri, Walker Lebeck, Joey Paras, Jason Gaston and Ahmed Faisal earned 4th place. Rohan Cherukuri and Joey Paras also earned 5th place individual grade level awards.  Great job!
