Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Wednesday, October 31st, 2018

Murphy is excited to host the Fall Scholastic Book Fair. An amazing selection of books are here! The fair is taking place in the Murphy’s LRC through Thursday, November 1st from 8:10am to 3:00pm during the school day and during parent/teacher conferences Thursday 4 to 8pm. If you can’t make the book fair, you can also help support our school by shopping online. All orders ship free to Murphy. The online fair is available through Wednesday, November 7th.

Attention Mavericks: Murphy Junior High School in conjunction with The Rotary Club announces the annual “Coats for Kendall” winter clothing drive. Please bring in any gently used coats, scarves, hats, gloves or mittens.  All collected items will be donated to local charities to ensure those in need in our local community have warm winter gear as the weather turns colder. A collection box is located in the main office. Mavericks please show you care by donating to those in need.

Happy Halloween! The votes have been counted for the LRC Pumpkin Contest. The Winners are: 1st Place: Luca Langoni with the Owl pumpkin 2nd place: Sanah Allgaier with the Out of My Mind pumpkin and 3rd Place: Ms. Miller's World History Homeroom with the Flowers for Algernon Pumpkin. Will winners and all participants please go the LRC for a picture.

Hey Mav’s! Last night the 8th grade boys traveled to Traughber where we jumped ahead 12 to nothing. We held that lead almost the entire game and even built on it in the 4th quarter where we won 50 to 28.  Leading scorers were Reif with 20 Jalen with 7 and Josh, Tre and Christian all had 6. In the 2nd game it started off the same way we jumped to an early 10 to 2 lead and held on to the lead for the rest of the game winning 38 to 20.  Leading scorers were Matt with 10 and Will and Micheal Parrott had 7. Great job boys!
