Good Morning Mavericks! Today is Monday, October 29th, 2018

Murphy is excited to host the Fall Scholastic Book Fair. An amazing selection of books are here! The fair is taking place in the Murphy’s LRC through Thursday, November 1st from 8:10am to 3:00pm during the school day and during parent/teacher conferences Thursday 4 to 8pm. If you can’t make the book fair, you can also help support our school by shopping online. All orders ship free to Murphy. The online fair is available through Wednesday, November 7th.

Attention Mavericks: Murphy Junior High School in conjunction with The Rotary Club announces the annual “Coats for Kendall” winter clothing drive. Please bring in any gently used coats, scarves, hats, gloves or mittens.  All collected items will be donated to local charities to ensure those in need in our local community have warm winter gear as the weather turns colder. A collection box is located in the main office. Mavericks please show you care by donating to those in need.

Reminder to All Students: If you are staying after school to watch a sporting event (like a basketball game) you must exit the building after school until 4:15pm. You will not be let into the building until 4:15pm! Please make sure you dress appropriately for the weather.

Hey Mav’s: This past weekend the 8th grade boys basketball team were in the “Shop With A Cop” tournament. We played our first game on Friday, we won pretty easy, by 34 points.  On Saturday, our first game was another 20 point victory. That game took us to the championship game where we played Ira Jones. We held the lead the entire game and slowly pulled away by the 4th quarter. We were up by 18 and won by 10 points. Great job boys on being the tournament Champs!

Make it a great day Mavericks!
