Principal's Message

Dear Prairie Point Families:
There are many exciting activities and events happening from now until the end of our school year that the students and staff are looking forward to. Our students have worked hard all year and we believe it is important to celebrate their achievements. Thank you for your attendance at our spring book fair and a big acknowledgement to our 5th grade students for an outstanding performance at last night’s musical.
Safety Reminders:
- Students who WALK to school should arrive as close to 8:45am as possible. We have several students who arrive very early and are unsupervised in the back of the school. There has been climbing in trees, banging on the doors, and general horseplay before staff supervision begins. Please review the expectations and arrival time with your child.
- Please plan to be at the school by 4:00 at the latest to pick up your child. Our line moves quicker when it’s nice out.
- If you are walking to pick up your child, please let them and the teacher know ahead of time and they will be coming out of DOOR 3 or DOOR 7. There are several parents waiting at those spots to receive their children - you can’t miss it! Please do not walk up to the front area where the students and staff are during this time. Thank you!
Thank you for following our procedures to ensure maximum safety and efficiency for all. 🙂
