Every effort should be made to prevent work-related injuries. However, in the event an employee experiences a work-related injury, the following procedures should be followed:
If forms are not completed and sent promptly to Human Resources/Benefits, authorization and administration of medical treatment could be delayed.
3. If the employee needs medical attention, they should be sent to one of the facilities listed below or the employee can request to go to his/her own doctor.

4. In order to receive treatment and to have the medical claim/bill processed properly, the employee must give the medical provider the following Workers’ Compensation claims administrator information:

5. The building/supervisor should share any updates regarding the employee’s progress, including return to work status, treatment updates, restrictions, accommodations, etc. with Human Resources/Benefits.
6. All medical information received by Human Resources/Benefits regarding billing or the employee’s condition will be forwarded to IPRF for processing.
7. If an employee will be absent from work and IPRF determines that the injury is compensable, the employee will receive disability benefits, either through District 308 payroll or directly from IPRF. Disability benefits will only apply to the first three (3) days of absence if the employee is absent for more than two (2) weeks.
